Winter hiking with BÄR: On the Palatinate Wine Trail with BERGKOMFORT

Winter hiking with BÄR
On the Palatinate Wine Trail with BERGKOMFORT
The Palatinate Wine Trail runs for almost 180 kilometers through the most beautiful corners of the Palatinate. The longest certified hiking trail in the Palatinate starts in Bockenheim an der Weinstraße and ends in Schweigen-Rechenbach. Each of the 11 daily stages has its own charm - if you don't have time to hike the entire Weinsteig at once, simply pick a section.
The Pfälzer Weinsteig is also particularly attractive in winter - clear your head, enjoy the fantastic scenery and warm up in the cozy huts along the route with good home cooking and a mulled wine.
Stage 5 of the Palatinate Wine Trail
Travel blogger Sandra Wickert was out and about on stage 5 and was not only impressed by the many highlights along the route, but also by the BERGKOMFORT hiking boots, which carried her sure-footedly and comfortably along the paths of the Pfälzer Weinsteig:
The 5th stage of the Palatinate Wine Trail is a total of 20 kilometers long. It starts in Neustadt an der Weinstraße and ends in St. Martin. If you don't want to hike quite so far, you can shorten the tour and start at Hambach Castle - a visit to the cradle of democracy is of course a must! This section of the route also takes you high up to the Kalmit - the highest mountain in the Palatinate Forest, with spectacular views of the surrounding area.
Who is this hiking route suitable for?
The paths on the Pfälzer Weinsteig quality hiking trail are well developed and signposted and are also suitable for less experienced hikers. On the 5th stage in particular, there are a few meters in altitude to overcome and you should be reasonably sure-footed due to the different nature of the paths. In addition to hiking poles, hiking shoes or boots with a good profile are recommended
Sandra Wickert on her experiences with the BERGKOMFORT hiking boot from BÄR:
Behind what Sandra Wickert describes is an ingenious concept: the lightweight PU cushioning offers natural sure-footedness and the BÄR comfort footbed with textile cover provides additional cushioning - the FIRMOFLEX® technology developed by BÄR is patent-pending; with special elements in the sole, it simultaneously ensures lateral stability on the ground and longitudinal flexibility when rolling.
